Direct Approach - Demo Tape 2012

This is the second demo from these Toronto ragers and I think it shows great growth from their previous demo tape released back in 2011. The songs on this sucker are short and seething with anger. The overall feel of the playing is fairly loose but it works well...This is yet another of what seems like an endless supply of excellent new school punk/hardcore bands that have thrown their hat into the ring lately...definitely deserving of your attention...Dave G.

I just picked up a copy of this Lp and man am I happy that I did. The music is punk yet quirky and interesting in the same way that bands like Wire took basic punk rock of the late 70's early 80's and morphed it into post punk... Leather Leather feels like post punk for the new age...Dave G.

Excellent Straight forward angry punk / hardcore with a bit of a Germs feel in the stripped down guitar sound. Also, brings more current bands like the Formaldehyde Junkies to mind.

Honestly, not much more to be said about this demo, it's just a solid all around demo that should definitely lead to a 7" release in the near future.

Looks like distro's are selling out of this tape pretty quickly so I would get one fast if you like what you hear...Dave G.
