Smoked Solid Dairy - Tour '17 EP

If experience has taught me anything. It's not to judge a book... Or in this case, band by it's namesake.

Such was the case when giving Seattle's Smoked Solid Dairy a quick, yet enjoyable listen.

Initiated by April 2017's 'Trash of the Past'.

I hoped to dig a little deeper into the mystery of Smoked Solid Dairy to get past my original impressions of a pretty goofy sounding band to give a band that reminded me of so many of the bands that introduced me to  American Punk during my impressionable teen years.
Though only featuring a lean three songs 'Tour '17 EP'  manages to revisit my love for such 80's favorites as D.I., The Vandals, T.S.O.L. and Crimpshrine. Nerdy  punk at it's very best. Smoked Solid Dairy combine fuzzed out guitars with snotty vocals to come up with a garage punk sound that would sound just as good now as it would on an early Lookout Records playlist. Three catchy, accessible and highly addictive songs that will appear on the band's Summer  . Something to hold you over until their upcoming Summer album release
"The Grey Sheep". Something to definitely look forward to.

Before there was Green Day, Gilman St. Project or Lookout Records. There was a young and scrappy young trio known as The Lookouts. Featuring a pre-pubescent Tre-Cool
(future Green Day drummer) Vocalist Larry Livermore (The boy who would go on to cofound Lookout Records) and Kaine Kong (Future forest ranger of all things) and guest appearances by Operation Ivy's Tim Armstrong and future eye liner model and voice of Green Day,
 Billy Joe Armstrong.

and Other Stories features twenty four songs of raw, spirited Punk Rock anthems. Songs that   give offer a glimpse of what was happening in the Bay Area at the time, while showing hints to the blueprint of what was to come.

When choosing whether or not to invest in Spy Rock Road... please avoid any comparisons to anything Green Day has done post Ker-Plunk.
Despite their current drummers history in either bands. These are not early Green Day outtakes or demos.

Mr. T Experience Digitally Release Entire Catalog

Mr. T Experience have digitally re-issued their entire catalog. Much of the bands material has become difficult to come by since the demise of the bands long time label Lookout Records. Amongst the many tracks that were released by the influential label. Their cover of the entire Ramones classic "Road to Ruin" album is also being made available.There is no news of physical records being re-issued at any time in the near future.
