Cicada Radio - Imposter ep 2011

Cicada Radio - Jersey City New Jersey

Cicada Radio remind me of many of my favorite bands from the 90's underground music scene like Karate, Small Brown Bike and Knapsack, just to name a few...meaning the music is packed with emotion and impassioned vocals , yet retains an indie sensibility that keeps everything in control and mature sounding. I guess what I'm saying is that Cicada Radio remind me of many of the best bands from the 90's who fell under the Emo flag, but thankfully didn't fit the Emo mold that most people would associate with, and that is a very good thing.

The most surprising thing to me about this ep is how refreshing it actually sounds to my ears. I know I have referenced the 90's in my description of Cicada Radio's sound, however Cicada Radio has managed to keep things sounding fresh and interesting on this ep, and I highly recommend that you head over to their Bandcamp page to give this excellent ep a listen for yourself...Dave G.
